Felice Turco and Barbara Vitale are the mind and beating heart of the company, which under their management, continues to maintain the essence of Galileo by making products which makes houses into homes.
FELICE TURCO
Felice Turco is the MD and owner of Galileo S.p.a. Son of Mrs. Santa Sais, he created Sais S.r.l. and broadened the prospects for development of the furniture and homeware department which was established in the 1970s. He was born and raised in the world of entrepreneurship, with a passion for home décor and a passion for seeking out new markets. At a young age, after completing his studies in Business Administration, he began to travel to the major production centres of ceramics and pottery in the world to discover new products, trends, and sources of supply for the family company. The diverse and unique experience he gained as a result led him to create a new company, Galileo S.p.a, born from the splitting of Sais S.r.l. in 2005. Dynamism, ability to anticipate new market trends, and a winning production and sales strategy, have meant that under his direction, Galileo, became the go to for large-scale retail trade, wholesalers and specialised retail.
BARBARA VITALE
Barbara Vitale, Chief operating Officer (COO) of Galileo, is a key figure of the company and directly reporting to the administrator. She has coordinated and optimised all operations and design activities of the company, ensuring they are effective and functional for the business. After a Master’s degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Literature, Barbara Vitale combined her passion for languages with that of homeware and furnishing, becoming a member of Sais S.r.l. in 1995. She began her career at the Foreign Office, where she demonstrated a great knowledge of international markets. Her creativity, and ability to problem solve as well as her interest in pursuing new commercial proposals, led her to take on her new and current role in which saw her directing the commercial creation of the new brands. She was responsible for the launch of Villa D’Este Home Tivoli, the flagship brand of the Galileo group which introduced the group to the tableware sector. She is also working to establish the brand internationally.
